Our 9th grade Tiger, Daniel Fernandez, was the winner of this year’s March Mammal Madness competition. March mammal madness is an annual tournament organized by Professor Katie Hinde at Arizona State University, which has been running for the last ten years. It involves a series of simulated battles between different animals.
Based upon their knowledge of different species, adaptations, feeding relationships, etc., students predict which animal they think would come out on top, and receive points for each correct prediction. Of the KCP students who took part this year, Daniel Fernandez was the champion, scoring 80 points. Orlando Retamoso was the runner-up with 79 points, followed by Maria Jimena Márquez with 77 points. #GoKCPTigers!

Starting next Monday, September 2, KCP will start implementing a new traffic flow plan that we hope will help ease the flow. We are asking that only students from Preschool to grade 2 (and their siblings) get dropped off in the old parking lot. Students from grade 3 to 12 must be dropped off in the new parking lot (please refer to to the diagram above). With your cooperation on this, we expect to see a better traffic flow. Please only park in designated parking spaces.
All vehicles that enter the campus must have a school sticker. Please see Ms. Silvana DeAndreis, in the Business Office for a sticker, if you do not have one.
Gate 7 is the entrance to the new lot, Gate 8 is the exit and you can turn right or left out of Gate 8. Gate 1 is the entrance to the old lot. You may only turn right out of Gate 4 but you may proceed to Gate 2 to turn left out of the old lot.

The Burton B. Fox Library’s Annual Book Fair began receiving visitors last Monday, December 3. Taking advantage of this great venue to promote reading habits from early childhood, visitors had the opportunity to buy books at great prices while enjoying the decoration of the “Read Around the World” theme.
More than 1,000 books -ranging from wacky fiction to gripping real-life dramas- were exhibited on our custom-made six “continents”. Many of our books were exclusive titles, not available in stores or other fairs in Colombia. The KCP community truly had their pick of wonderful books!
The best-selling book? “Dog Man” by Dav Pilkey, a funny book series about a canine that is part dog, part man and ALL HERO.
We are confident that our Book Fair continued to promote a fascination for books and a love for reading in our students. So, congratulations if you bought a book or two and we wish you the best as you enjoy your reading adventure!

From the Lorax to the Cat in the Hat, all the beloved characters from Dr. Seuss privileged imagination inhabitted the Burton B. Fox Library and were present in our student’s life during this amazing week.
This year’s Dr. Seuss Week took on new heights of wonder as our students experimented with sound waves to celebrate “Horton Hears a Who”, concocted different types of ooblek and ate our famous green eggs and ham!
