Thanks to our wonderful P.E. department´s initiative, KCP students will have the privilege of speaking directly with renowned Colombian athletes that will keep them motivated with sports during our Distance Learning sessions!
Students will talk with Jair Camargo, renowned professional baseball player of the Minnesota Twins, playing in the big leagues. He was part of the professional teams of Tigres de Cartagena and Caimanes de Barranquilla. He was also part of the Sub 9, sub 12, sub 15, and Sub 23Colombian teams, played in Panamericanos and in the 2018 Baseball World Cup.
Our children will also talk with famous former professional tennis player Catalina Castaño, captain of the Fed Cup for 5 years and Champion of 6 ITF tournaments. She was also a player of Fed Cup (Copa Federación) for 15 years and ranks #35 in the world tennis ranking.
Our tigers have met already with Yeisi Soto, the renowned volleyball athlete who, among many other recognitions, is known for participating in the volleyball Champions League, for winning the League of France and for being sub champions of Juegos Panamericanos lima 2019.
A webinar was also held with famous former soccer player Fabián Vargas, who is one of the 2 Colombian players to have earned the most titles in this sport’s history. He was the only winner of Copa America playing with Selección Colombia, has played for Boca Juniors and America de Cali, and is currently working as sportscaster for ESPN.
